Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and Buenhoj Technologies Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada ("we"), for the Buenjo app and this website. By using Buenjo, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Buenjo.

The app

Buenjo is a desktop companion for macOS 11 or later. It runs on your Mac: see the privacy policy for what stays on your Mac and the few things that go online.

We license you to use Buenjo on your Mac for your own use, under these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or get around its plan limits, except where the law allows it.

Your account

• An account is optional. You need one for the free account's extras and for Pro.
• Give a real email address you can confirm, and keep your password to yourself.
• An account works on one Mac at a time. You can move it to another Mac.
• You can delete your account from the app at any time.

Plans

• Using Buenjo without an account, and with a Free account, costs nothing.
• Pro costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year, in USD. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies, collected by Stripe as seller of record.
• Which features are in each plan can change over time. The app always shows what your plan includes.

Subscribing to Pro

• You subscribe inside the app: Account → Subscribe. Subscribing there attaches the payment to your account, which is what unlocks Pro.
• You pay through Stripe. Payments are processed through Stripe Managed Payments. For your purchase, Stripe's Link acts as the seller of record: it collects any sales tax or VAT and handles your payment details under Stripe's own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month or year, on the date you subscribed, at the price then in effect, until you cancel.

The free trial

Pro comes with a 14-day free trial, started in the app. It needs a confirmed email and no card. There's one trial per person and one per Mac. When the 14-day trial ends, the app goes back to the free plan automatically. You're never charged unless you subscribe.

Cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription any time from Manage subscription in the app's Account tab. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've already paid for. See the refund and cancellation policy.

Price changes

The price of Pro can change. We'll tell subscribers at least 30 days before a price change applies to them, by email or in the app, so you can cancel first.

Fair use

Please don't misuse Buenjo or our servers. Don't try to get around plan, trial or one-Mac limits, share or resell accounts, interfere with or overload our servers, or use Buenjo for anything unlawful.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Buenjo is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded, such as Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Buenjo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll tell you why where we can. If we close an account through no fault of yours, we'll refund the unused part of any paid period.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If we make an important change, we'll tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are heard in the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless consumer law where you live lets you bring them there.
